2018 Oscars Jewellery & Fashion – Our Top 5 Favourites
The 2018 Oscars may involve giving a funny golden statue to the most talented stars of the movie industry – but we know what it’s really all about.
Fashion.
That’s because while they aim to shine on the big screen, our favourite stars always dress to impress at the Academy Awards.
But it will be no surprise to learn that, here at Amellee, we’ve always got our Oscar eyes on the bling. That’s because jewellery can often make or break the most glamorous look.
And the 2018 Oscar winners are…
1. Allison Janney

Her performance in I, Tonya had eyes peeled, but it was her $4 million (yes, you read that right) worth of jewellery that really had eyebrows raising.
Perfectly accessorising her bright red gown were no less than 128 carats worth of jewels, including solitaire earrings, a 55 carat diamond choker, more diamonds on her wrist and a whopper of a diamond on her finger.
2. Allison Williams

Perhaps you think Allison Williams couldn’t get any more beautiful.
Well, did you see her on the red carpet? When she stood for the cacophony of camera shutters, she proudly flashed her 26 carats of diamonds – on her ears, her finger and our personal favourite – her sparkling and amazing cluster bracelet.
3. Camila Alves

Heard of Camila? You’ve definitely heard of her husband, Matthew McConaughey.
And while he was looking dapper in his bow tie, it was the colour coordination with Camila’s necklace that really made us look twice.
Her gown would have looked great at a wedding, but it was dripping in Glamour thanks to the opulent colour of her breathtaking gemstone necklace. It weighed in at 74 carats, featuring rubies, amethysts and diamonds set in white gold.
4. Andra Day

Want some more millions? Try singer Andra Day’s $5 million worth of Oscars jewellery.
Much more than pretty in pink, her selection included pink and champagne floral earrings and matching choker, and pink and canary yellow triple diamond rings.
5. Zendaya

Actor/singer Zendaya caught our Oscars eye because of her nod to the past at the 2018 Oscars.
Her pendant earrings dated all the way back to 1930, while her 1928 diamond bracelet was an even earlier vintage.
Every year, we just love how the film industry’s biggest stars make their looks sparkle even brighter with their jewellery picks. What are your favourites?
